Courage Nancy! I love your reframing of ‘May’. I too became a mother for the first and second time in May, it’s also the month my own mother died. But mostly I want to wish you bucket loads of luck as you start your new student life.
I absolutely love this piece, Nancy, and the way it speaks to that sense of promise. Of potential. I'll be thinking hard on your prompt at the end, too. Thank you for such a powerful piece and also you are going to SMASH this course!xx
Fingers crossed! I'm just so excited to be on this path and draw from amazing professional guidance and journey with cohort peers. Feels like such a gift.
Oh I love the constellation of possibilities encoded in the name of the month of May! Thanks Nancy for opening my eyes to it in such a gorgeous piece! Love also the idea of the greening of you, so beautiful, and I am in no doubt that you will turn all these "mays" into "wills" - best of luck with this amazing ride, Nancy x
An MFA is a huge undertaking. Way to go! I can't wait for the day you tell us the book is done, the publish date is right around the corner, and your only disappointment is that there was so much you had to edit out that now you're starting book #2 to tie up everything lost on #1.
Ha ha. Thank you, Robin. Just putting one foot in front of the other for now so as not to jinx anything. One day at a time and will see what unfolds... Cheers for the cheerleading.🙏🏻☺️
Good luck Nancy. I love that you’re at the very start of doing an MA - or is it an MFA? - in CNF… I so wish I had done something like this but when I did my MA they didn’t offer it! You’re going to have such a good time and I’d love to know what you’ll be reading!
There is always room for more learning though, and I would love to be taught by someone who knows more than I do. Or has a totally different take on CNF with different essay examples. Birkbeck uni which is where I did my PHD had an MFA taught by Katherine Angel who I am sure I would have learnt lots from.

Big love and hugs sent your way, Harriet. Thank you for your well wishes. x

Also, meant to add thanks for the well wishes! 🙏🏻❤️
I have a photography MA. Now I begin an MFA in CNF, Lily. Considering you've published, I'd say you've completed your own MFA already! 😅😊🥰

Good luck to you Nancy!
Thanks, Shital! May the 4th be with me and you, too!
